How a private day works
What changes when the vehicle is yours
Pickup at your door, at your hour
From your hotel lobby, apartment entrance or the cruise port in Split. You set the departure time; there is no coach to catch and nobody else to collect first.
The vehicle stays with you
It waits while you walk the park or the old town, and it holds your bags between stops. That is the practical difference from a bus tour — you are never carrying the day around with you.
The route can move
If a park is busy or you want longer somewhere, say so on the day. Nothing needs rebooking, because there is no group timetable underneath your plan.
One price, agreed before you go
Per vehicle rather than per person, VAT included, fuel and tolls covered. National park tickets and meals are paid where they are charged, and each tour page says which is which.
Which day suits you
Durations and prices come straight from each tour, so this table cannot drift from the booking page.
| Day | Duration | From | Max guests |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubrovnik & Ston Private Tour from Split | 10-12h | €450 | 8 |
| Klis Fortress, Salona & Trogir Private Tour from Split | 6-8h | €250 | 8 |
| Krka Waterfalls and Šibenik Private Tour from Split | 8h | €250 | 8 |
| Plitvice Lakes Private Tour from Split | 10-12h | €420 | 8 |
| Split to Mostar Private Tour | 9-11h | €400 | 8 |
Reading about the destination first is often easier than reading about the tour. There are separate guides to Krka, Plitvice Lakes, Dubrovnik, Mostar, Šibenik and Zadar.

Single-day tour questions
How long is a single-day private tour?+
Between about six and twelve hours depending on the destination — Trogir and Salona are the shortest day, Plitvice and Dubrovnik the longest. Each tour page states its own duration, and the clock starts at your door rather than at a meeting point.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?+
Per vehicle. Four people travelling together pay what one would. A sedan carries up to 3 passengers and a van up to 8, and you choose the vehicle when booking.
Are entrance tickets included?+
No. National park entry at Krka and Plitvice, and ticketed sites such as the Dubrovnik city walls, are paid separately at the gate or online. They are set by the park or the city, change by season, and are listed under what the price does not cover on every tour page.
Which single-day tour should we pick?+
If you want water and a shorter day, Krka. If you want the bigger landscape and do not mind a long drive, Plitvice. If you want a walled city, Dubrovnik and Ston. If you want to cross into Herzegovina, Mostar. If you have half a day and want history close to Split, Klis, Salona and Trogir.
Can we change the plan on the day?+
Within reason, yes — that is most of the point of a private day. Extra stops that add significant driving are better agreed at booking so the timing works, but swapping the order of stops or spending longer somewhere is a conversation with your driver, not a change fee.
How far in advance should we book?+
Online booking closes 12 hours before pickup and a 17% deposit confirms the day. Summer dates go weeks ahead, so book early if your dates are fixed — but a last-minute message on WhatsApp is worth sending, because a returning vehicle is sometimes free.
Do you pick up outside Split?+
Yes. Trogir, Kaštela, Podstrana, Omiš and the surrounding area are normal pickup points, as is Split Airport and the cruise terminal. Tell us the address when you book and the driver comes to it.
Travelling for longer? Multi-day private tours keep the same driver across the whole trip.
