Private Experience Croatia fleet and private tours

About us

Family-owned private tours and transfers across Croatia on the road since 2003.

Private Experience Croatia is a family business, built by people who grew up on these roads. Founded in Split in 2003 by Bozo Bulat who started in tourism alongside his father and never really stopped the team today is six people, all family, all from Dalmatia. Every driver is local. Every vehicle is private. Every route is built around your group, your pace, and your schedule. We have been driving guests between Split and Dubrovnik, Zagreb and Plitvice, ferry ports and national park entrances for over two decades. That experience is not in a manual. It is in knowing which entrance to use at Plitvice in July, how long the Neum crossing takes on a summer Saturday, and where to stop on the Pelješac peninsula for oysters that were in the sea two hours ago. No shared coaches. No strangers added to your booking. No surprise fees on arrival. Just a private vehicle, a driver who knows the route, and a departure time you choose.

How we work

A private experience, start to finish

1

Private by design

Your group only — never a shared bus or a fixed timetable. Every pickup, route and stop is built around you, so the day moves at your pace and no one else's.

2

Local knowledge & experience

More than 20 years on Croatian roads. We know the quiet hours at Plitvice and Krka, the best coastal stops, border-crossing timing and the places most visitors drive straight past.

3

Custom tailored

Add extra stops, a licensed guide, a wine tasting or a whole extra day. Tell us what you want to see and we shape the entire itinerary around it — not the other way around.

4

Unforgettable experience

Spotless modern vehicles, a calm and friendly driver, and cold water on a hot day. It's the small details that turn a simple transfer into the part of the trip you remember.

FAQ

Common questions before booking

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

All our private tours and transfers are priced per vehicle, not per person, and VAT is always included. One clear price covers your whole group — up to 8 passengers.

How much does a private tour or transfer cost?

Every route has a fixed per-vehicle price shown on its page, VAT included. For larger groups, luxury vehicles or fully custom multi-day trips we send a tailored quote — just tell us the route, date and number of guests.

What vehicles do you use?

For 1-3 passengers we use a comfortable sedan such as a VW Passat or Škoda Octavia. For groups up to 8 we use an air-conditioned van such as an Opel Vivaro or Renault Trafic. Luxury vehicles can be arranged on request.

Do you offer door-to-door pickup?

Yes. We pick you up directly at your hotel, apartment, airport or port whenever access allows, and drop you at your exact destination. If an address has restricted access, the driver meets you at the closest accessible point and shares clear pickup details in advance.

Are your drivers English-speaking?

Yes. All drives are with a private, English-speaking local driver who knows the roads, timing, national-park hours and border crossings.

What is included in the price?

The price includes the private vehicle, driver, fuel and road tolls. Attraction entrance tickets, meals and an optional licensed guide are not included and are arranged separately when you want them.

How do I pay?

You can reserve online by paying a 15% deposit securely by card (Stripe) and settle the balance with the driver on the day, or pay the full amount upfront. Nothing is charged until you confirm.

What is your cancellation policy?

Single-day tours and transfers can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the service. Multi-day tours can be cancelled free up to 7 days before departure. Later cancellations are charged as described in our cancellation policy.

Are passengers insured?

Yes. All passengers are insured during every private tour and transfer operated by Private Experience Croatia.

Can you add extra stops, a guide, a child seat or wine tasting?

Yes. Extra scenic stops, a licensed guide, child seats and wine or food tastings can all be added when you book, as long as the route and timing allow it. Just mention it in your inquiry.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Split and operate across all of Croatia, plus Bosnia & Herzegovina and Slovenia — including Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes, Krka, Mostar and the islands.

Can you arrange custom or multi-day itineraries?

Absolutely. Beyond our listed routes we build custom transfers and multi-day private journeys around your dates, pace and interests. Send us the outline and we'll shape the itinerary and quote.
