Private day trips from Split

Your driver arrives at your hotel, apartment, ferry port or cruise terminal at the time you chose when booking. There is no meeting point to find and no shuttle to a departure bay. The vehicle is yours for the day: a sedan for up to three passengers or an air-conditioned van for up to eight, with the fuel, tolls and the driver all inside one price shown on each tour page.

The itinerary on every tour page is the standard version of the day, and it bends. Departure times, the length of each stop and the order of stops are set around your group, not around a coach timetable. Tell us when you book if you have a fixed return, whether that is a ferry, a flight or a ship, and the day is built backwards from it.

Entrance tickets for national parks, fortresses and cathedrals are not part of the tour price. They are paid on site or online, and your driver tells you the current rate on the day. A licensed local guide can be added to any tour at booking for the history at each stop; without one, the driver still knows the route, the timing and where to stand for the view.

The shortest day is Klis Fortress, Salona and Trogir: three sites within half an hour of Split, an 08:00 pickup and a return around 14:00. It is the trip built for a cruise port day, and the one to pick when you want the afternoon back in Split. Trogir's old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Klis is a Game of Thrones filming location, so it covers a lot of ground for a short outing.

Krka Waterfalls with Šibenik is a full but unhurried day, about eight hours, with the park reached by around 09:15 before the coaches arrive and a second stop in Šibenik's old town or at a local winery. The walk around Skradinski Buk is a boardwalk loop, mostly flat, so it suits most ages.

Plitvice Lakes from Split is the long one: a 07:00 start, roughly two and a half hours each way, and around nine hours of the day spent for a few hours in the park. The early departure is the point, because it puts you on the boardwalks before the crowds. The electric boat and panoramic train inside the park are covered by the park ticket.

Dubrovnik and Ston is a ten to twelve hour day along the coast, with free time in Dubrovnik's Old Town and a stop in Ston on the way back for the medieval walls and the oysters from Mali Ston bay. Mostar crosses the border into Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Old Bridge and the Ottoman old town, with a choice of Kravica Waterfalls or the Blagaj Tekke as a second stop; your driver handles the crossing, and you bring a passport or EU identity card.

If you are moving on from Split rather than coming back to it, the private transfers below turn the journey into the day trip. Split to Dubrovnik is about three hours direct, or a full day with a stop in Ston, at a Pelješac winery or in Mostar. Split to Zadar is about two hours, with Trogir, Krka Waterfalls or Šibenik on the way. Split to Plitvice Lakes drops you at your accommodation by the park after an optional stop in Šibenik or Zadar, and Split to Zagreb or Ljubljana can take in Plitvice or the watermill village of Rastoke en route.

The same rules apply: door-to-door, your own departure time, one price per vehicle, and optional stops confirmed when you book so the driver plans the day around them. The Split Airport transfer is the exception in scale, a 45-minute run with pickup timed to your flight.

Split's cruise berths sit next to the Old Town, so the city itself needs no transport. The day trips are for what lies outside walking range. For a port day, Klis, Salona and Trogir is the natural choice because it is a half day by design; Krka fits a longer call. Give us your ship and its all-aboard time when you book, and the itinerary is planned back from that deadline with a buffer for traffic near the port. Because the tour is private, it can be shortened on the day if the ship's schedule changes.

Every tour and transfer is booked online with a deposit paid securely by card; the balance is settled later. Online booking stays open until 12 hours before pickup, and after that a message on WhatsApp still reaches us. Day trips and transfers can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the service. Groups larger than eight are quoted individually with an appropriately sized vehicle.
