Zadar to Split
The short one, from two hours direct, and the route that offers the most for a stop. Šibenik sits halfway, with the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of St James and St Michael's Fortress above the harbour. Krka Waterfalls lies just inland from it, close enough that the park's Skradinski Buk boardwalks fit inside the day. Trogir, a medieval island town thirty minutes short of Split, is the last possible stop before the drop-off at your hotel, the ferry port, the palace gate or the marina in Split.
Zadar to Dubrovnik
From four hours direct along the coast, and a full day if you use it. The stops run in geographical order: Šibenik first, then Split for Diocletian's Palace and the Riva, then Ston and the Pelješac peninsula for medieval walls, oysters and a winery tasting before the final stretch to Dubrovnik. The driver drops you as close to your address as Dubrovnik's road access allows; for the car-free Old Town that is the nearest gate.
Zadar to Zagreb
From three and a half hours direct, inland over the Velebit range, with Plitvice Lakes as the optional stop. The park sits close to the route, so a few hours on the boardwalks around the lakes fits inside the transfer without an overnight; tell us when you book and the departure time from Zadar is set to reach the park before the middle-of-the-day crowds. Drop-off is at your hotel, apartment or Zagreb Airport.
Day trips starting in Zadar
